Borislav Marinov, Head of Business Development Land-based: How Amusnet Is Elevating the Land-Based Gaming Experience

With nearly 4,000 machines distributed globally in under two years alongside swift growth across Latin America, Amusnet’s Land-based division is rapidly scaling. By continually updating physical cabinets with top-performing digital titles every six months, the company offers operators fresh content that drives continuous player engagement.

Borislav Marinov, Head of Business Development Land-based, shares how Amusnet is transforming physical gaming halls worldwide.

SBC Summit 2026 was a major milestone for Amusnet, highlighted by winning the Multi-Channel Supplier award. How was your overall experience at the event, and what does this recognition mean for your Land-based journey?

The energy at SBC Summit was exceptional, providing an outstanding platform to engage with long-standing partners, connect with tier-one operators, and showcase our latest product verticals. Our stand attracted considerable interest, particularly in our flagship slot cabinets and new multi-game releases, while the direct feedback we received from industry professionals provided valuable insights into market expectations.

For this event, we showcased two highlights of our Land-based portfolio: our top-performing Type-S 55J slot cabinet and the premium Type S VIP 75. Visitors were impressed by the high-quality graphics and the seamless adaptation of our renowned online titles to large-format screens, demonstrating the strength of our cross-channel expertise.

As one of the few exhibitors showcasing physical slot cabinets at an event traditionally focused on iGaming, we had a valuable opportunity to highlight the diversity of Amusnet’s portfolio and the synergies between our Online and Land-based offerings.

We are particularly proud to have received the prestigious Multi-Channel Supplier award at the official ceremony. This recognition is a meaningful endorsement of our long-term strategy and our commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences across online and Land-based channels. It also motivates us to continue expanding our Land-based presence and strengthening our position in this evolving market.

How has the demand for Land-based and omnichannel solutions evolved in the last few years, and why has Amusnet identified that as a big opportunity for growth?

Back in 2022, rapid digital growth brought us to a strategic point – it was time to expand our portfolio. Having already built a solid track record in live and automated table games for our Live Casino line, we were confident in our ability to design reliable, highly competitive Land-based slot machines.

On top of that, our online operator partners were giving us incredible feedback on game performance. Because many of these operators also run physical venues, bridging the gap made perfect sense: we could help them elevate their floor offerings with top-performing titles their players already knew and enjoyed.

What are the main differences between the expectations and experiences that players demand between online and land-based casino, and how have you catered to those differences?

Since launching our Land-based division, our focus has been adapting core online titles specifically for physical installations. Our engineering and game design teams draw heavily on proven online mechanics and UX trends.

Our goal is immediate recognition: Land-based players to instantly recognise iconic classic slots, but experience them with upgraded visual fidelity and modern online-exclusive features – like cascading reels, cluster mechanics, Buy Bonus, Buy Wilds, and Boost Play. It’s about taking the best of both worlds to meet and consistently exceed the expectations of today’s casino floor player.

Player engagement tools are almost non-negotiable in today’s industry so how important is it for Amusnet to have developed new Land-based Amusebox 3 software and the Golden Coin Link Jackpots system?

Tools such as Buy Bonus, Buy Wilds, Boost Play, and dynamic Bonus Wheels are critical for driving continuous engagement and floor performance. Our AMUSEBOX 3 software delivers a feature-packed library of 60+ games paired with two dedicated Jackpot systems. Among them, our unique Golden Coin Link Jackpot system introduces engagement features, including a Triple Boost Pot system, Bonus Wheels, Coin Collect, and Hold & Spin.

To keep our Land-based content fresh and competitive, we update the multi-game library every six months with top-performing titles straight from our online portfolio. That gives operators full confidence that every new game on their floor is already market-tested and player-approved.

Land-based gaming isn’t just about software though, it is also about offering immersive digital experiences in person. Tell us about Amusnet’s portfolio of gaming cabinets and how they can help operators elevate their land-based offerings?

Our hardware lineup currently features 8 distinct slot cabinet models in the Type-S series, including the 55J curved model and the S75 VIP, our top products so far. With 7 additional models due to be released at the beginning of next year. Beyond slots, our portfolio includes multiplayer terminals, automated roulettes, betting kiosks, and a full suite of custom floor accessories. This diversity allows us to tailor solutions for any market – from compact gaming halls in Africa to large-scale casino resorts across LatAm and Asia.

Every cabinet is built with premium materials to meet modern ergonomic and technical standards. To ensure top-tier build quality, we hired senior hardware engineers with decades of industry experience. The market response speaks for itself: in under two years of production, we have distributed nearly 4,000 units worldwide while maintaining strong partner feedback.

Land-based solutions have also helped Amusnet grow geographically. How have your operations in LatAm been boosted with these new softwares and cabinets?

We introduced our slot cabinets lineup to Latin America just about a year ago, and we already have around 1,200 active installations across the region – concentrated heavily in Colombia and Peru, with growing footprints in Guatemala, Paraguay, Suriname, and the Caribbean.

Our local LatAm teams initially established strong brand equity through our online gaming portfolio. That digital foundation gave us a huge headstart into physical casinos and gaming halls, accelerating both brand recognition and venue adoption across the entire region.

What is the strategy for Land-based and omnichannel growth in 2027 and beyond and how core to the company’s overall strategy is the vertical?

Looking ahead, our strategy centers on big portfolio expansion, market entry into new regions like Asia, and building global brand awareness. On the content front, we are continually rolling out high-thrill game concepts – such as our latest Super Pot series featuring 8 jackpot levels (4 progressive & 4 static), alongside new Asian-themed titles like Golden Tiger and Golden Mouse, and bespoke branded games tailored for individual operators.

Moving forward, we plan to bring our Live Casino content directly into Land-based venues, blurring the line between physical and digital play. The Land-based vertical is a core pillar of Amusnet's long-term growth, and our roadmap reflects those ambitions.
