Amusnet’s CEO, Ivo Georgiev, shares his perspective on the company’s journey, industry evolution, and future opportunities in an exclusive interview for Global Gaming Insider, one of the most reputable and influential media outlets in the global gaming industry. As Amusnet celebrates its 10-year anniversary, Georgiev reflects on the key milestones that shaped the company’s growth, the technological and behavioural shifts transforming the sector, and the strategic priorities guiding Amusnet into the next decade.
The in-depth conversation explores the role of innovation, data-driven development, and omnichannel integration in building sustainable gaming ecosystems, while outlining the opportunities ahead for the company through 2026 and beyond.
- Focusing on a milestone, Amusnet celebrates its 10-year anniversary. How do you reflect on the progress of the company and industry over the last decade?
Reaching our tenth anniversary is both a proud milestone and a moment of meaningful reflection. Ten years in the gaming industry is a measure of resilience, adaptability, and vision.
When Amusnet was founded, the industry was entering a period of accelerated transformation. Regulation was expanding across Europe and beyond, mobile technology was redefining accessibility, and player expectations were evolving rapidly. Over the past decade, we have witnessed the transition from fragmented markets to a more structured, compliance-driven global landscape. At the same time, the drive for product quality has risen dramatically.
From a company perspective, our journey reflects that evolution. We expanded into dozens of regulated markets, strengthened our global identity, and built a diverse portfolio across Online Casino, Live Casino, and Land-based gaming. What makes me proud is not only the scale of that growth, but the maturity behind it. We scaled strategically, without losing our creative DNA or compromising on quality.
The first decade was about defining who we are. It was about proving that we can grow responsibly and consistently, and also building lasting partnerships in a dynamic environment.
- How do you feel Amusnet has contributed to the industry's continuous evolution over that time?
Our contribution to the industry has been focused on three main pillars: product sophistication, engagement technology, and striving for omnichannel integration.
We have continuously elevated our approach to game design. We believe strong mathematics, immersive storytelling and technical precision must coexist. Over the years, we have refined our portfolio to combine vibrant visuals with meaningful gameplay mechanics and high replay value. We have helped shift the conversation from simply launching content to creating experiences that endure.
We also invested heavily in promotional infrastructure. Jackpot systems, tournament tools and integrated bonus platforms are no longer optional as they are core strategic tools for operators. By developing flexible systems that allow operators to build dynamic player journeys, we have contributed to a more ecosystem-driven model of gaming.
Our expansion into land-based gaming reflects our belief in seamless entertainment across channels. The industry is no longer divided between digital and physical; it is converging. By bringing our signature style into land-based cabinets and premium formats, while strengthening our live casino division, we have supported a more unified and consistent player experience.
In many ways, our contribution has been about integration by connecting technology, creativity and operational flexibility into a cohesive offering.
- What role have technology, data and player behaviour played in shaping your strategy over the years?
The role of technology and data has fundamentally transformed how we think and operate.
A decade ago, data was largely retrospective, used to analyse performance after launch. Today, it informs every stage of development. We analyse player behaviour patterns, volatility preferences, session lengths, bonus engagement, and cross-product movement. These insights directly influence our math models, feature design, and reward structures.
Technology has also reshaped emotional engagement. In the live casino vertical, for example, production quality, streaming optimisation, and interface design create an environment where experience matters as much as mechanics. We often say this is where technology meets emotion and getting that balance right has become central to our strategy.
At the same time, players’ behaviour has evolved significantly. Players today are more informed and more selective. They understand volatility. They expect immersive storytelling. They demand seamless mobile performance. This sophistication pushes us to be sharper, more precise, and more intentional in every release.
Our strategy has therefore shifted from reactive development to predictive design. We do not simply respond to trends. We anticipate behavioural shifts and build frameworks that allow us to adapt quickly.
- If you could pinpoint one emerging trend that excites you in gaming right now, what would it be?
The trend that excites me most is the convergence of personalisation and platform integration.
We are entering an era where ecosystems matter more than individual products. The future lies in adaptive environments where content, jackpots, live experiences and land-based touchpoints are interconnected. Data-driven personalisation will allow operators to tailor engagement strategies to individual player profiles in real time.
Artificial intelligence and advanced analytics will increasingly refine reward allocation, optimise campaign timing and enhance cross-channel continuity. Imagine a journey where a player’s preferences are recognised across verticals and environments, creating a cohesive and intelligent experience.
This convergence of technology and personalisation will define the next chapter of gaming innovation.
- Looking ahead, where do you feel Amusnet’s priorities lie with regard to innovation and opportunity, particularly through 2026?
As we move through our anniversary year and beyond, our priorities are clear.
We will continue strategic expansion into regulated markets. Sustainable growth requires compliance excellence and strong localisation capabilities. Regulation is not a barrier; it is a framework for long-term credibility.
There is a strong opportunity to further develop our live casino offering. It has become one of our fastest-growing areas, and we will continue to invest in production quality, new formats, and better integration of promotional tools within the live environment.
We will enhance our engagement infrastructure. Jackpot systems, tournament tools, and bonus platforms will become even more flexible and modular, allowing operators to tailor campaigns with greater precision.
Omnichannel experience remains a priority. Our land-based portfolio is a natural extension of our digital strength. Through 2026, we aim to refine the interplay between online, live and physical environments to deliver a unified Amusnet signature experience.
Ultimately, innovation for us is not about isolated breakthroughs. It is about building scalable, adaptable ecosystems that create long-term value for players and partners alike.
The first ten years told the story of who we are. The next decade will show what we can become - bigger, bolder and more integrated than ever before.
